I remember the exact moment I stopped believing it.

I was mid-session. Eyes closed. Hands resting on my knees, client four states away.

And I felt it — that click. That drop into stillness where something shifts.

For years I would have called that moment “sending.” Like I was the one doing something to her.

But that night, sitting in my own quiet kitchen afterward, I asked myself a question I couldn’t shake.

If I’m sending it — where does it go when I stop?

Silence.

Because it doesn’t go anywhere. It was never traveling in the first place.

What Actually Happens in That Room

Two tuning forks in a quiet house.

Strike one. The other hums.

Nobody sent anything. Nobody pushed anything across the room.

One simply matched the other.

That’s the whole secret. That’s the entire mechanism behind every session I’ve ever run.

I’m not a battery.

I’m not a transmitter.

I’m a tuning fork, and so is the body sitting across from me — or three states away; it doesn’t matter.

The Body Already Knew This

Here’s the part that took me longer to understand.

My own body had been trying to tell me the same thing for years.

I didn’t heal my inflammation by forcing it out.

I didn’t fix my energy by willing it into existence.

I removed what was drowning out the signal — the sugar, the seed oil, the noise — and something older and smarter underneath just… resumed.

The steak didn’t send me anything either.

It just stopped interfering.

Isn’t that strange? The same law, twice. Once in the field. Once on the plate.

Why Force Never Works

You cannot force a tuning fork to hum.

You can only get close enough, quiet enough, coherent enough — and let it respond.

Push on it, and it goes silent. Every time.

I’ve watched this happen in sessions. The moment I want something too badly — a result, a fix, a proof that I’m “doing” the healing — the field goes flat.

The moment I let go of needing anything, the room changes.

Same with the fork on the plate. You cannot bully a nervous system into calm.

You can only stop feeding it chaos and wait for the hum to come back on its own.

The Question Nobody Answers Honestly

So why do we keep reaching for control?

Why do we keep believing healing is something we do to the body, instead of something we finally allow?

I think it’s because letting go feels like doing nothing.

And doing nothing feels like failure.

But stillness isn’t failure. Stillness is the only thing that was ever going to work.

What I Actually Do Now

I don’t send energy anymore. I haven’t in years.

I sit down. I get quiet. I let my own field settle until there’s nothing left pushing against it.

And somewhere, four states away, or four feet away, or across a kitchen table — something responds.

Not because I told it to.

Because it recognized something steady enough to answer.

That’s the work. That’s all it ever was.
